Right of withdrawal

2024-09-01

Voluntary right of withdrawal

Under current Swiss law, contracts concluded online or by telephone (distance sales) do not carry a general statutory right of withdrawal. Nevertheless EAS International voluntarily grants its customers a 14-day right of withdrawal in line with the European Consumer Rights Directive.

Customers resident in a Member State of the European Union are entitled to this right of withdrawal by law under Article 9 of Directive 2011/83/EU.

Withdrawal notice

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period begins on the day of conclusion of the contract.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by means of a clear statement (e.g. by email):

EAS International
Klybeckstrasse 141, 4057 Basel
Basel-Stadt, Switzerland
Email: info@eti-etias.com
Phone: —

It is sufficient that the communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal be sent before the expiry of the withdrawal period.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision. We will make the refund using the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise. No fees will be charged for the refund.

Premature expiry of the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal expires early if the Provider has fully performed the service and the Customer, at the time of ordering, has expressly

  1. consented to the service beginning before the withdrawal period has expired, and
  2. acknowledged that the right of withdrawal is lost upon full performance of the contract.

This express consent is requested separately at the point of ordering and can be opted out of. In that case, we will start processing only after the 14-day withdrawal period has lapsed.

Model withdrawal form

If you wish to withdraw from the contract, you may send the following text by email.

To EAS International, Klybeckstrasse 141, 4057 Basel, email info@eti-etias.com:

I hereby withdraw from the contract entered into by me concerning the following service:

  • Order / reference: _______________________
  • Ordered on / received on: _______________________
  • Customer name: _______________________
  • Address: _______________________
  • Date: _______________________
  • Signature (only if notified on paper): _______________________

Amounts not covered by the withdrawal right

Official government fees already paid to ETIAS authorities or their systems are no longer refundable once transferred. These amounts — if collected — are clearly identified prior to submission of the application. The current EU government fee for the ETA is €20 and is collected directly by the ETIAS Central Unit (EU); it is not refundable in any case.

Refund Policy

In addition to the statutory or voluntary 14-day right of withdrawal, we grant you the following extended Refund Policy:

Refund Eligibility and Timeframe

Refund requests can be submitted within 30 calendar days of purchase. We will review your refund request within 5 EU business days from the date it is received.

Refunds Are Granted If

  • Non-provision of service: EAS International has not started or completed the processing of your application within 3 business days, and the delay is not caused by the EU government system.
  • Technical error: A system failure or technical issue on our part that prevents service delivery.
  • Application refusal with Buyer's Protection add-on: If your application was officially refused by the EU government and you purchased the optional Buyer's Protection add-on, we will refund the service fee. The EU government fee (€20) is non-refundable.
  • Failure to deliver without explanation: If we fail to deliver the result and do not notify you about a delay caused by the government system.

Refunds Are Not Granted If

  • the delay is due to EU government procedures, systems or technical issues;
  • your application has already been submitted for processing;
  • you provided incorrect, incomplete or low-quality information or documents;
  • your application was refused and you did not purchase the Buyer's Protection add-on;
  • you request a refund after the 30-day window from the date of purchase.

Refund Processing

If your refund is approved, the amount will be returned to the same credit or debit card used for the original payment. Refunds are typically processed within 24 hours, though the funds may take up to 5 working days to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.

How to Request a Refund

Please contact us through our contact form or by email at info@eti-etias.com with the following information:

  • Your first and last name
